William "Chip" Richardson, MD is a board certified ophthalmologist, an eye M.D. He founded Georgetown Eye Care in 2007 as a solo practitioner.
He completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Kentucky. His practice interests include general ophthalmology and cataract surgery. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons.
Dr. Richardson's collegiate experiences include a bachelor's degree from Cornell University, with a focus in molecular genetics, and a medical degree from the Ohio State University. During residency, he performed National Institute of Health sponsored research in ophthalmology and studied optical dispensing with Dennis Peck of Peck Opticians in Lexington -- one of the most highly respected opticians in the area.
He will deliver the personal attention that you deserve. Dr. Richardson believes that all patients deserve to see their physician before, during and after any procedure. He has dedicated his career to providing full-time eye care in Georgetown with surgical services offered at Georgetown Community Hospital.
